JIM M EMSWILLER (1957-2018)

J.M. EMSWILLER is a Emmy winning sound mixer for movies and television.  He has over 30 years experience in the entertainment industry.  When he is not on a motion picture project, Emswiller also works as a state constable, serving his community. 

Emswiller is a veteran sound mixer whose credits include “The Fault in Our Stars,” “Foxcatcher,” the Will Smith film “Concussion” and the upcoming “Where’d You Go, Bernadette?”

He received an Emmy Award in 2015 for Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Limited Series or a Movie for his work on the HBO movie “Bessie.”


Emswiller is an avid sportsman; his interests include gardening, fly fishing, shooting, hiking,camping, and motor cycling.  As such, he is concerned about the environment and creatures of the world, one of his motivations for writing Little White Spots.  He lives outside Pittsburgh, Pa with his wife.
