Tall, striking divorcee Mary Travers cares for her baby, while her two friends struggle to find a song they all know with the same lyrics. They find one, realize they’re pretty good, rehearse a small songbook for six months in her apartment and in The Gaslight, and then take their show on the road—a road that leads them through Bob Dylan, Washington D.C. and around the world.
Lisa Ann Goldsmith is a 5’ 10”, blonde Native New Yorker, just like Mary Travers!! She grew up in the same neighborhoods that Mary did, and is a social and political activist in the same way.
Lisa Ann is professional actor and director with many New York and regional credits She played Kate Rearden in the recent World Premiere of Windfall directed by Jason Alexander of Seinfeld fame! (Arkansas Rep) Currently, she is playing Kate Jerome in Neil Simon’s Brighton Beach Memoirs (Human Race Theatre Company). Other recent roles include Mrs. Cratchit in A Musical Christmas Carol and Gretchen in Boeing Boeing with Pittsburgh CLO. Off Broadway: Primary Stages, Manhattan Ensemble Theatre, HERE Arts Center, Protean Theatre Company. Regional: Pittsburgh Public Theater, Theatre by the Sea, Human Race Theatre Company, Quantum Theatre, Pittsburgh Irish and Classical, Bricolage Production Company, August Wilson Center for Performing Arts, Tulsa Shakespeare in the Park, Studio Theatre, and Unseam’d Shakespeare. Directing credits include the 2017 world premiere and national tour of mOTHER as well as the world premieres of Findings (Pittsburgh Playwrights), The Devil’s Arithmetic and Walk Two Moons (Prime Stage); Out of This Furnace (Unseam’d Shakespeare), the premiere of Amy Hartman’s Disinfecting Edwin (Open Stage); The Proposal/To Hell and Back, The Monkey’s Paw/Happy Garden of Life, and Jake Heggie’s Three Decembers (at Pittsburgh Opera) with The Microscopic Opera Company; As You Like It (Pittsburgh Shakespeare in the Parks); The Rocky Horror Show (immersive production - Brisbane Management); and the East Coast premiere of Allison Moore’s Eighteen (Pittsburgh Playwrights).
